Looking back at 2019

The highlights from an Academic perspective was our Graduation ceremony held in the Eastern Cape, 14 November 2019. Approximately 300 learners, parents and guests attended the event at the Merryvale School (a special needs school in Port Elizabeth) to honor our learners receiving their certificates.

Our first intakes of PSETA level 3 Public Administration learners in Port Elizabeth, rolled over to level 4 in 2018 and from this group of successfully qualified graduates – we rolled over a group of 10 learners into Level 5 Public Administration at the end of 2019. This is a very proud achievement to have taken the learners into this level of studies. We are looking forward to exiting all 10 at the end of 2020.

2019 was a special year for our Amandla Obunye learners in Cape Town, as the first group of learners successfully completed their first level 3 PSETA qualification. 2019 also saw a new group start and successfully completing the learnership early 2020.

It is important for Amandla Obunye Training Academy to fill the training needs across the country. In 2019 we took our qualifications to the town of Graaff-Reinet and in future will be extending to other towns as well. Serving everyone from big corporations in the cities to having a footprint in towns where we can fulfil a need is one of our goals of providing qualify training to all. Amandla Obunye takes pride in being able to uplift the communities and strive to continue doing so.
